Getting to know LaSandra, our doll of the month....

D.O.L.L.S.: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role as you?

LaSandra: I can't see anyone else playing the lead role in a story about my life. No one would be able to depict the hurt, pain, joys, and laughter I experience better than me.

D.O.L.L.S.: If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?

LaSandra: I would love to be invisible. Being able to be a fly on the wall would bring so much more insight to my world.

D.O.L.L.S.: If you were a car, what kind would you be?
LaSandra: I would be one of the rarest car ever made. I am a very genuine, humble person. It's rare to find that quality in individuals nowadays.

D.O.L.L.S.:  If I take a look inside your refrigerator what would I find?
LaSandra: Korean food and leftovers. I haven't been able to finish full meals lately. I think my stomach shrank in my pursuit of weight loss.

Our Interview With LaSandra

D.O.L.L.S.: What dream are you currently pursuing?

LaSandra: It feels like I have a million things going on right now. I am currently working on my MBA and working full-time for SCANA. I actually just recently joined the Army National Guard, and will be working to become an officer shortly after basic training. Leading troops and fighting for my country will be a challenge but I'm definitely ready to take it head on. In addition, in my free time, I am a Pure Romance consultant. Aside from that, I try to travel as much as possible.

D.O.L.L.S.: What are the first steps you took to follow your dreams?

LaSandra: Honestly, I do anything my heart dreams of. If I want to pursue something, I don't sit on the idea, I find a way to do it. I am an extremely analytical person so I weigh all options and consider all possible outcomes before pursing anything. If it seems worth my while, and in reach, I go out with an aggressive attitude to make sure it gets done.

D.O.L.L.S.: What are some road blocks that you have come across?

LaSandra: I try to remain positive despite any road blocks I may come across. I'm actually appreciative of them. If they didn't exist, EVERYONE would pursue their dreams. I don't see them as obstacles. They are opportunities to build my character and make me a better person. For example, I was slightly over the weight requirement to join the military. Instead of getting discouraged, I worked hard to get my weight down to meet the requirement. I wasn't happy with my weight to begin with so this was a great opportunity to improve my health and make myself better for the future.

D.O.L.L.S.: Who are some individuals in your field you admire and would like to
work with in the future?

LaSandra: As I move up in ranks, I would love to eventually work with President Obama. I admire his willingness to take challenges head on. I also commend him for looking out for the best interest of the country as a whole.

D.O.L.L.S.:  Is there anything that you’d like our readers to learn from you?

LaSandra: Positivity goes a long way. Positive thinking yields positive results so it's important to only surround yourself with positive people who have your best interest at heart, and will support you no matter what. That will help you reach and accomplish your goals.

D.O.L.L.S.:  What are your future career goals and aspirations? How are you progressing towards those goals?

LaSandra: Within the next five years, I plan to develop a website aimed to help consumers struggling to make their car payments. I am in the beginning stages of the idea and plan to develop it further within the next year.

D.O.L.L.S.:  What motto do you live by?

LaSandra: Everything happens for a reason. Regardless of what life throws at you, remember, there is a purpose behind it. Take the lesson, learn from it, move on, and use it to become a better person. :)

D.O.L.L.S.: How do you stay motivated to accomplish your goals?

LaSandra: I surround myself with amazing people. They keep me grounded and push me to be the best person i can be.

D.O.L.L.S.:  What can we look forward to from you in the future?

LaSandra: Continued positivity. I'm not perfect by any means, but I feel I can continue to make a positive difference in the world by offering words of encouragement to inspire people to be the best they can be. It's important to live up to your potential. It's harder to accomplish goals without someone on your side. I'm on everyone's side!! :)

Gotta love this doll!

I love LC! My sister from another mother but I know God put her in my life for a reason... I'm thankful for that. One of the most inspirational people I know. Even though she is definitely that silver lining that everyone needs at the end of a bad day, I respect her ability to be honest and "keep it real" the most. She definitely keeps me grounded.
