Embrace Your Inner Carnival

Published on Friday, February 25, 2011 in , , , ,

What in the world does "Embrace Your Inner Carnival" mean you ask?  Well...really it can mean whatever you want it to mean, because I think that's just the type of connotation associated with the phrase.  I came across this phrase in an article/interview featuring Nicki Minaj in BlackBook Magazine.  Reading it sparked this sense of inner freedom for me.  It is everything that we try to convey to our readers in our posts, via our twitter account,  and even to our friends and families.  It is a phrase we truly believe in and strive to do daily.

Embracing your inner carnival means being brave enough to do the things that truly make you happy.  It means being brave enough to dig deep, find your true purpose, and respond to your God given abilities.  Embracing your inner carnival means figuring out how to use what you have for a greater good and not compromising your own morals and happiness to do it.

To embrace your inner carnival means to listen to your inner voice that is shouting at you to do what naturally makes you feel good.  It means not trying to fit in to any mold because you know you are unique and were put here to stand out in your own special way.  It means doing what you want to do, simply because you want to do it.  It means not allowing someone to tell you how to live your life, because that is how they feel you should live it.

Embracing your inner carnival means ignoring everyone and doing what is true to you.  It means saying, "forget you" to everyone who doubts you.  It means stepping out on faith so that you can live life at your highest potential.  It means don't shy away from what makes you different, because at the end of the day, the thing that makes you different is the thing that makes you special.  It means that God equipped you with your own personal carnival on the inside of you -- and it is up to you to show it to the world.  It is up to you to dare to be different, and to truly do you.

So today Dolls (and every other day of your life), be happy, be inspired, do something different, inspire someone, do something crazy, do something fun, laugh, love, live, listen, give, explore, work hard, dance, cry, give your all and really get to know you and share the things that make you unique with the world.  EMBRACE YOUR INNER CARNIVAL!
