Spread the Love: Choosing the "ONE!" (Day 2)

Published on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in , ,

If you follow us on twitter, then you already know that today’s question is “How do you know that you’ve found the one?” Our couples shared their views, and as always, we welcome you to do the same! ;) What would make you settle down with one person? What do you think happens when you've found your One True Love?

James and Chequita: Well, when you find someone who can put up with your crazy (immature) ways, who can deal with and understand your busy life style, and when you cannot see yourself with anyone else during a separation period from the relationship, then you’ve found the one.

Michael and Felicia: The point at which we couldn't stop thinking about each other, and it
made us want to change the person we are, or at least some of our ways to be with one another.

Krystal and Mario: He is everything in one that I never had before. When I met him, I knew the definition of a “real man”. He treated me like a queen and still does to this very day. 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. He is so special and very dear to my heart. I never have to ask or yell. He just seems to know what to always do to make me happy.

Jessica and Quentin: I knew that Quentin was the one when he got on his knees and prayed in front of me. He showed me that he was a man of God! And when I took Jessica home to meet my grandmother and they became the best of friends, I knew she was the one for me.

God truly led my husband and me together. A Christian mentor in my life told me that sometimes when it comes to the mate God blesses you with, you may not feel love instantly but it will be added.

My husband said the moment he saw me he knew I was the one that God wanted him to marry. I prayed to be found. lol. I know that sounds old-fashioned but he found me. When we talked on the phone that first week before our first date we talked about family and everything. Then the day after our first date he asked me to be his girlfriend. I thought that was crazy because we just went on our first date. That day little did he know I was cleaning like crazy and crying. I told my grandmother I was afraid to go on a second date with him because I knew if I went on a second date, he was going to be my husband.

It took a few weeks to fall in love but when I heard Brian McKnight's "Love of My Life" playing on the radio on my way to work one day, I knew I was smitten! I was bawling like a baby in my car because I knew I found the love of my life.

As the next week or two went on I decided to go for it and be his girlfriend and we decided we were going to work towards marriage. That was in 2008 and here we are today-- just recently celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary!
