| Senegalese Twists |
Senegalese twists are a beautiful sleek protective style that I would really like to try. What I love about them is how elegant they appear. The rope style two strand twists are much more sophisticated than its counterparts, micro-braids and kinky twists. As I venture off to different metropolitan areas I see more woman with this style. I have some across some not so great results, but I've also seen those who looked absolutely gorgeous! I think this is going to be a great way to protect my hair and take a mini-hair break. LOL What you think of this style??

I have had Senegalese twists in my hair and I LURVED them!
My cousin from DC gets these every so often. I like them on her! I think they are too cute!
This hairstyle is very common all across Africa. I have done it countless times. Its a great style.
However I would NOT recommend it as a protective style. Twisting tangles the hair and often causes alot of hair breakage. It is FAR more damaging than braids.
Make sure you only keep them in for a few weeks tops.
In my hometown (Nairobi) you can get your whole head done in under 4 hours, so its worthwhile. However in the States I have sat for 12 hours getting this style done.
I now stick to braids if I keep them in for more than 3 weeks
best
