Beauty DIY: Kitchen Beautician

Published on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in , ,

There’s no secret that dry, damaged hair may need a little more TLC during the Summer months, and hopefully, you’ve learned that a moisturizing deep conditioner should be one of your staple hair care items during any season—especially this one.

Sometimes, however, your trusted deep conditioner doesn’t pack the exact punch you need it to in times like these. So in order to rid your hair of dry, dusty ends while replacing them with moist, bouncy locks, you may need to mix in a few ingredients found inside your own kitchen to truly get the job done.

So without further ado, here’s our Beauty DIY Tip of the Week:
For added moisture to any Deep Conditioner,  mix 2 Tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 1 Tablespoon of Honey into your conditioner (Note: make sure you already poured out the amount of conditioner that you need into a bowl or cup before you start mixing). Then apply the Deep Conditioner to your hair as you normally would and distribute evenly with a wide tooth comb. After that, place your hair under a plastic cap, sit under a hooded dryer for 10 – 15 minutes, rinse the conditioner from your hair, and enjoy your well moisturized mane!

Let us know how it turns out for you! Our hair is absolutely loving the olive oil/honey infused conditioner right about now!
