Getting to Know our Man of the Month!
D.O.L.L.S: If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional, with whom would it be?
Nik: If I could trade places with anyone, I’d have to say I would like to trade places with Kanye West.

D.O.L.L.S: If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
Nik: I love to travel. Remember the movie Jumper? Of course you do. He had the power to teleport anywhere he could imagine. This would be great because I could see the world in an instant.

D.O.L.L.S: If you were written about in the newspaper, on the front page, what would the headline say?
Nik:
Well I was already on the front page of the state newspaper and the headline was “I knew I still had the fight in me.”

D.O.L.L.S: If you won $20 million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Nik: Well I’d first pay the 8 million in taxes, LOL. I’d then pay off my student loans and debt second. Third I’d buy a house for myself and pay off my grandmother’s house. I’d divide the remainder in half then put half in a saving account to accrue interest. With the rest I would splurge a little and do some investments. Of course I would go to DisneyLand

Looking Towards the Future with our Man of the Month…
D.O.L.L.S: What dream are you currently pursuing?
Nik: I am currently pursuing becoming an investigator.

D.O.L.L.S: What are the first steps you took to follow your dreams?
Nik: The first step to me has always been knowledge. I am constantly reading, attending classes and training to further my knowledge in the field that I am trying to claim.

D.O.L.L.S: What are some roadblocks that you have come across?
Nik: I would have to say student loans and my own limitations.

D.O.L.L.S: Who are some individuals in your field you admire and would like to work with in the future?
Nik: I have the opportunity to work with some amazing people in my department that I admire. I’m not really going to name names, but I just soaking in the knowledge and experience that I am gaining.

D.O.L.L.S: Is there anything that you’d like our readers to learn from you?
Nik: I want them to know that I’ve fallen but always got back up. Achieving has always been a defining principle to me. Achieving is about continuing to the end even if you are messing up til you reach your goal. There is nothing in life you can’t achieve if you set your mind to accomplish it.

D.O.L.L.S: What advice do you have for young men your age?
Nik:
I would tell them failure isn’t terminal, its educational. Don’t be afraid to fall because you can always get back up. Go after your dreams, work hard, play hard, but live within your means.

D.O.L.L.S: At this point in your life, what makes you happiest?
Nik: The simplest things in life make me happy at this point in my life. Friends, family and the small things.

D.O.L.L.S: What motto do you live by?
Nik: Always be the first rate version of yourself, instead of a second rate version of someone else. As long as I’m happy with myself, my accomplishments and have a firm relationship with God I know I’m on the right path.

D.O.L.L.S: How do you stay motivated to accomplish your goals?
Nik: I try to visualize my future goals and my desired outcomes. I set milestones and work to meet each one of them. With seeing my outcomes as in reach, it makes it that much closer to realization.

D.O.L.L.S: What can we look forward to from you in the future?
Nik: I plan on doing a lot for my city by making everything and everyone that I come across better. A good proverb states “give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime.” I plan on teaching, inspiring and being a power for good as I continue on my path.
