#NaturalHair: Taliah Waajid’s Curly Curl Cream Product Review

Published on Sunday, July 17, 2011 in , , ,

I’ve been on what seems like a never-ending search to find an AFFORDABLE product that defines my natural kinks and coils when I style my hair in twist outs and rod sets. And right now, my dear Naturalistas, I am so happy to say the search is over! EUREKA...I’ve found it!
CURLY CURL CREAM
Made for Curly, Kinky, Wavy and Coily Hair Textures.

Non-greasy herbal hair cream that revitalizes curls and eliminates frizz.
Conditions and nourishes hair while adding shine and moisture. Holds hair and styles in place. Easily shampoos out with no build up.Directions: Use on wet or dry hair.  Apply to hair.  Use fingers to distribute smoothly to define, shape and style curls. Can be used on all textures of curly hair.

And as far as I’m concerned, it did exactly what it said it would!

Pros:
  • I ACTUALLY wanted to wear my twist out! I am so picky when it comes to my hairstyles, and up until now, I have not found a product that gives me the twist out that I imagine having in my head (lol..that’s the best way I could describe it)!
  • When used with Lottabody Setting Lotion and NTM’s Silk Touch Leave in, my rod sets were sleek and shiny, and most importantly, they lasted an entire week. They probably would have lasted longer if hadn’t washed it out.
  • Even though I was only concerned with my twist outs and rod sets, there was an added bonus! Her product just smelled soooooooooooooo GOOD! Loved it!

Cons:
  • I personally don’t have any, but I keep seeing other reviews of the product state that it left a white residue on their hair. I’ve seen the white residue, when I applied it to my wet hair, but when it dried, there was absolutely nothing left behind.

Other than that one thing, I’d say this product will be used every single time that I feel like doing a twist out or a rod set!

I put a pic of my twist out below. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of my Mohawk, BUT I have an older picture of the style when I was using a MORE EXPENSIVE product and I promise you that I got the SAME if not BETTER results so I included that as well! :)

If you decide to try it or have tried it, let me know what you think! I hope it works out for you!
