Stephanie is a well-known Life Coach at My Life Keys, throughout the world of twitter, and soon to be worldwide! She is helping people like me and you let go of limitation and create our best lives filled with love. We interviewed Stephanie for our Dream Team Series because not only is she actively pursuing her dreams, but she is also serving others by helping them do the same! She is a true inspiration; so take the time to get to know this amazing Life Coach!

D.O.L.L.S: As a life coach, what is your biggest source of inspiration and motivation?

Stephanie: My Clients and Supporters! Being blessed with the opportunity to teach such amazing Spirits and to help them heal past wounds, discover their own strength and power, and manifest ther ideal lives... THAT is why I get up and do what I do every day. I've always said that every moment I make the decision not to live in my purpose, someone suffers needlessly. Having the opportunity to witness breakthroughs and AH HA moments is my daily motivation. Just this morning before this interview, I was feeling a bit drained and disconnected. I opened up my Fan page and the first message I saw was from someone saying that I inspire them and that I need to continue doing what I do. If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is!

D.O.L.L.S: Can you explain to our readers what a life coach does and why they are important to have?

Stephanie: There are various types of Life Coaches but the one thing we all have in common is that we act as accountability partners for our clients. The "basics" of a Life Coach, if you will, are that you share with us what your goals and dreams are, what you think may be blocking you from achieving them, and what it is that you desire as an outcome for your life. A Life Coach would then begin putting together a plan of action for you and holding you accountable for manifesting that desire or goal. I'm a little bit different in that I find out about your history as well. I dig into past occurrences of your life, any patterns or habits that are there, and I get to the root cause so that we can heal that and then move forward into creating a new life for you. A Life Coach is there for you to vent to, receive correction and motivation from, and to help you to discover the answers to questions that will help move you forward into your life. My Life Coaching practice is kind of like therapy, motivation, inspiration, and planning all in one.

D.O.L.L.S: What is the most rewarding part about being a life coach?

Stephanie: When I see my Clients have breakthroughs and AH HA moments; when I see them finally realize their true power and potential and then begin to use it. There is nothing better than that! With the exception of when they begin manifesting things into their lives and they scream, "OMG, COACH, I CAN'T BELIVE I DID THAT! THIS IS AWESOME!!" and I always like to do a good chest bump or high five with my male clients as if they were winning at a sport LOL. But seriously, their accomplishments and healing are such an amazing reward for me.

D.O.L.L.S: How are you currently using your passion to serve others?

Stephanie: Every day I say, "I decrease so that You may increase. Use me to bless others today." I listen to my Spirit when it says to give or to help someone. Philanthropy has always been a huge part of my overall vision for myself as a Life Coach and for My Life Keys as a company. I have My Life Keys Mentoring Program where we will be offering group and one on one Mentoring to children and young adults, as well as a Summer Camp that will run in 3 week cycles. We'll be empowering the kids and young adults so that they are well equipped to succeed going into their new school years. I also have the My Life Keys Food Drive for Thanksgiving where we collect food and give to various Food Banks and Homeless Shelters, as well as the My Life Keys Toy Drive where we collect toys, books, and shoes at Christmas time for Children in need. I also Mentor a couple of people who desire to become Life Coaches and I recently decided that I'm going to begin donating my Life Coaching services to a specific organization. Giving back is like food to the Soul... Such a rewarding experience.

D.O.L.L.S: What advice would you give someone who is having a hard time discovering his/her purpose?

Stephanie: Just breathe! Stop trying to figure it out. Sit silently, take a few deep breaths and ask, "What is it that I should be doing" and then allow the answer to float to the surface. It may not come in that moment but it will come. Pay attention to the things that are attracted to you and that you are attracted to. And most importantly, focus on what you LOVE to do; something that makes you feel really good. No need to figure out the "how"; that will present itself eventually. Just be available and receptive and the answers will come. I promise.

D.O.L.L.S: We follow you on twitter, so we know that you are a big advocate for thinking and feeling positive. Share with us some ways that doing these things has changed your life.

Stephanie: When you feel better, you do better. Our thoughts are our choice. People always say, "I hate this. I feel terrible!" or they focus their conversation on people, events, and things that they say they don't like or that make them angry. My question is: Why would you want your thoughts to be consumed by things that make you feel bad?! How we feel is dependent upon what we're thinking in any given moment. And what we experience in our lives depends on how we're feeling. A simple switch from a negative thought onto a positive thought will cause you to instantly begin feeling better. I don't know about you, but I LOVE feeling good! Changing my focus from negative to positive is what allowed me to rise up out of my depression and old patterns and create this amazing life and career that I get to enjoy every day. I am no different from you. If I can do it, you can too.

D.O.L.L.S: Can you recommend some techniques to our readers to combat negative thinking?

Stephanie: My favorite game is the "What If" game. We have a tendency to focus on the negative What If's: What if I don't get the job? What if I go there and I can't do it? What if nobody ever wants to marry me? To play the Positive What If game, all you have to do is focus on Positive What If's. If you think, "What if I don't get the job?" acknowledge the thought and then change it; "What if I DO get the job? And what if I do such an amazing job that they promote me within the first month? What if the raise I get is so big that I can afford the house of my dreams? What if I come up with an amazing idea that changes the way the company does business? And what if I become the first person to ever start off on the bottom and end up a partner?" Once you begin focusing your attention on the Postive What If's, your energy changes! You get excited and inspired and you feel better instantly. And a side effect of that is that you start receiving Divine ideas. Try it and let me know how it works for you!

D.O.L.L.S: What books would you recommend to someone who is just starting the on their journey to becoming a better individual?

Stephanie: "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne (Also watch the movie The Secret. It's extremely inspiring on a different level) "Leveraging the Universe" by Mike Dooley, "Conversations With God: Books 1, 2, and 3" by Neale Donald Walsch, and for those who have some healing to do emotionally and mentally, "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise L. Hay.

D.O.L.L.S: What can we look forward to from you in the near future?

Stephanie: I'm SO excited about everything that I have in the works right now! I'm coming out with a line of self-help products that includes calendars, journals, t-shirts, positive affirmation cards, and MORE. I'm also going back into the studio next month to record another series of Positive Affirmation CDs and because of the high demand, I'll be teaching online seminars more frequently. I'm also doing more public speaking and in person seminars starting in 2012. I'm already scheduled to teach a Vision Board seminar at MENSPEAK in Bermuda in February and I'm really excited about that. You'll also see more Vlogs from me, as well as expanding the Daily Life Keys newsletter, and LIVE Q&A's via Ustream. There is so much going on and I wish I could share it all with you!

D.O.L.L.S: Where can our readers find you?

Stephanie: Oh lot's of places LOL. You can find me on Twitter @Stephanie_Alva and @MyLifeKeys, my fan page is www.Facebook.com/CoachStephanieAlva, my videos are available at www.YouTube.com/MyLifeKeys, and of  course I'm always available at www.MyLifeKeys.com
