D.O.L.L.S:  If you could be any character in fiction, who would you be?
Drew: I would be Batman

D.O.L.L.S:  If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
Drew: Defeating the Odds
D.O.L.L.S:  If you were a type of food, what type of food would you be?
Drew: Strawberry Cheesecake
D.O.L.L.S:  If you won $20 million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Drew: The first thing I would do is pay off all bills, and purchase a new home. Then I would give my immediate family a specified amount, take a few vacations, put money aside for a grand wedding, open a franchise and finally start an endowment for a scholarship.
D.O.L.L.S:  If you were a car, what kind would you be?
Drew: Mercedes, because I am diverse. I can be cool and sporty sometimes, and I also could give you a little burst of speed and raise your heart rate.

Look Towards the Future with our Man of the Month!
D.O.L.L.S:  What dream are you currently pursuing?
Drew: I am currently pursuing the dream of becoming an administrator/school leader or collegiate coach. I have always had those as my two goals and said I would take whichever came first.
D.O.L.L.S:  What are the first steps you took to follow your dreams?
Drew: The first steps I took to follow my dreams were to major in education as an undergraduate student. Upon earning my degree I began coaching football and basketball at the High School level as well as teaching.
D.O.L.L.S:  What are some roadblocks that you have come across?
Drew: While trying to get into college coaching a major roadblock I have faced is getting pass the obstacle of “who you know”. In collegiate coaching who you know is the key factor in getting your foot in the door, but as I continue to press toward my goal and coach I am constantly networking. Also a roadblock I have faced in trying to become an administrator is my demanding schedule in coaching and arranging time for graduate school. It took me a few years to try and make this happen, but I finally found a university with a good plan that accommodated with my strenuous schedule.
D.O.L.L.S:  Who are some individuals in your field you admire and would like to work with in the future?
Drew: One very influential and supportive person I would like to work with in my field is Norris Williams. Norris has always supported my teaching endeavors, offered advice and extended invitations to help me with professional support. Mr. Williams is a very well respected man in the community and our profession, and it would be a great thing if I was able to get my first assistant principal job under him so I could learn from him and become a great leader.
D.O.L.L.S:  Is there anything that you’d like our readers to learn from you?
Drew: Do not ever let anyone tell you, you cannot attain a certain goal in your life. I came from a single parent household, and I was a first generation student. When you believe and put your mind to something you can achieve and do whatever you want to.
D.O.L.L.S:  What advice do you have for young men your age?
Drew: The advice I would like to offer to men my age is to enjoy yourself and live life but make sure you are preparing for your future. At times I see males my age living life for right now; I know tomorrow is not promised but we all hope for tomorrow, so since we do lets prepare for tomorrow. Also remember respect and manners will carry you a lot further than money. People will always remember respectable young men.
D.O.L.L.S:  At this point in your life, what makes you happiest?
Drew: Being around my family and seeing progress towards my long term and life goals.
D.O.L.L.S:  What motto do you live by?
Drew: Always be who you are, for no one should ever change you.
D.O.L.L.S:  How do you stay motivated to accomplish your goals?
Drew: Honestly my grandmother keeps me motivated. She was always tough on me and made sure I understood the importance of being successful. She knows my lifelong goals and another goal of mine is for her to see me accomplish my goals while she is still here on earth.
D.O.L.L.S:  What can we look forward to from you in the future?
Drew: You can look forward to me being influential in the community. Helping kids achieve their goals and being successful citizens in our communities. Also you all can look forward to me helping you or working with you on any project to empower or kids especially young males and providing them with opportunities.
